PAP Erasmus

Aim

The higher education action of SOCRATES Programme, named Erasmus, to improve the quality of higher education and strengthen its European dimension, encouraging transnational cooperation between universities, boosting European mobility and improving the transparency and full academic recognition of studies and qualifications within the Union.

Erasmus provides mobility grants to many thousands of students and teachers, but also responsible for strengthening the European dimension of studies for students and teachers who are not directly involved in the exchanges. In this context, the emphasis is on intensive programs and the development of new curricula, as well as improving existing ones by transnational cooperation and the development and consolidation of pan-European thematic networks.

Erasmus is open to higher education institutions of all types and covers all disciplines and levels of education, including a PhD. The duration of the mobility varies between 3 months (minimum) to 12 months (maximum).

All selected students receive financial aid from the European Commission and USC. This financial aid is compatible with any other scholarship (including MEC) that the student was enjoying. In the same way, may submit their candidacy as additional scholarships annually convene the Government of India.
