Pattern of CET

Pattern of CET For M.Sc. Computer Science and Information Technology:

Students those who are seeking admission to M. Sc. (Computer Science & IT) in the Department for an Academic Year 2016-2017 have to go through the CET Examination.

The final merit list of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared based on 50% Marks from Qualifying Degree Score and 50% Marks from CET Score. The students appeared in Final Year (B.Sc. / B.E. / B. Tech.) or previously passed are eligible for CET Examination.

Syllabus for CET

Basic Mathematics: Matrices, Integration, Derivative, Geometrical Figures, Trigonometric Concepts

Fundamental of Computer: Number System, Logic Gates, Input, Output Devices, Storage Devices, Semiconductor Memory

Aptitude: Logic Reasoning, Chart Reading, Graph Reading, Logical Questions

Fundamental of ‘C’ Programming: Variables, Keywords, Input, Output Statements, Header files, Conditional statements, Loop statements

Exam Pattern of CET

CET question paper is of 50 marks on multiple choice questions of one our duration.
Section (A) Basic Mathematics: 20 marks,
Section (B) Fundamental of Computer: 10 Marks,
Section (C) Aptitude: 10 Marks,
Section (D) Fundamental of C Programming: 10 Marks

Pattern of CET For M. Phil. in Computer Science:

Those students who are seeking admission to M. Phil. in Computer Science in the Department for Academic Year 2016-2017 have to go through the CET Examination. The final merit list of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared based on evaluation criteria mentioned in evaluation.

Objectives and Features of the course

The course is designed to motivate technical ability through research perspective.

Research work/dissertation work would be carried out under the guidance of the highly qualified teachers in the Department. To get research training to simplify Ph. D. work.

Syllabus for CET

The objective type questions will be set for CET examination. The subjects are: Operating System, Data Structure, Microprocessor, Compiler Design, Computer Graphics, C++, DBMS, Discrete Mathematical Structure, Computer System Architecture and Software Engineering.

a. Marks 50
b. Time One Hour

Ph.D Program (Computer Science and Computer Science & Engineering)

Structure, Computer System Architecture and Software Engineering.

The admission for PhD is through PET Examination and as per the University rule.
