The school concept has been adopted and six schools have been formed, under each coordinator except for Humanities and Social Sciences that have two Coordinators each. The six schools are,

Department Computer science & Information Technology (1994)

It is the first department to have established internet facility and also assisted all the University departments to set up the same. It also counsels other Departments in solving Internet problems. It’s a member of OGC an International body with access to satellite data under SAP-DRS level.

The department started in 1965. It is one of the few departments in the University to offer reprographic facility. It has also setup an internet laboratory for students under the DST-FIST programme. The department has signed four MoUs with foreign universities viz., including California, Australia, Korea and Japan.

Department of Chemistry

The department was constituted in 1958 and presently is one of the few departments under SAP -DRS level - I. It has access to all E. Journals. It also has a mega research project of DST under FIST that funded Computer Networking Laboratory. The department has collaboration with local Pharma Industries like wockhard Ltd., Orchid Pharma and Fine Chemicals, NCL Pune, I.I.T and B.A.R.C. Mumbai.

The department came into existence in 1962. It has one of the richest library on the campus. The department’s greatest achievement is its highest number of citation Index at both National and International level. The department has received Rs.2,30,000/- worth books and more books from the Department of Atomic Energy through National Board of Higher Mathematics (DST).

One of the newest departments started by the university under Science and Technology Faculty.
